August Market Faire
Attendees to the second annual Market Faire found yarn, wooden crafts, jewelry, glass crafts, Mary Kay make-up, handmade soaps, pottery, and more, to tempt them to open their wallets. Coordinator Cathy Tyree solicited an outstanding selection of vendors, and the follow-up surveys reported that the faire was a success. Click here to see more pictures.

Upcoming Workshops
Knitting workshops abound in central Virginia this fall. Here's the scoop:
Important change: The workshop we arranged with Mimi Hade, owner of The Needle Lady in Charlottesville, has been rescheduled for January. We will let you know as soon as a definite date has been selected. In the meantime, you can check out Judy Pascale and Candace Eisner Strick at their websites. As she did last year, Mimi will offer our guild members a reduction in the already-reasonable class prices as well as a 10% discount on any purchases during that weekend for class attendees.
Guild member Danna Savage, owner of Got Yarn, is offering a workshop for the weekend of September 11th, featuring Chris Bylsma. Click here for class descriptions and prices.
The Hanover Guild has partnered with Richmond's own Yarn Lounge to bring Anne Hanson of the Knitspot blog to town for classes in October. Call the Yarn Lounge at 340-2880 or Mary Stahl at 271-3976 for more information and to enroll.
